Methods of Foot Pain Relief for Nurses and Anyone Who Stands or Walks All Day in Their Job

Your shift is finished FINALLY. Your feet are in pain because you've been on them all day and you can hardly wait to get home, take your shoes off, and sit down and put your feet up. During the course of the day and going home, you can't help but want to discover something that will provide some type of foot pain relief. Or better yet, find a way to avoid any pain at all.

There are lots of jobs, especially those in the medical field, where you don't get the ability to sit for very long periods of times. o Treat your feet to an herbal foot bath - Soak your feet in an herbal foot soak made with salt, lemon, lavender, or peppermint for several minutes. Use a blend of these components or find others to rejuvenate, and invigorate tired and even swollen feet.

o Learn what the most comfortable shoes are for your feet and buy yourself a pair - Shoes play a huge role in keeping your feet from aching and getting tired. Finding the right pair can prevent foot pain you’ve been feeling and give relief should it even start. Learn what shoes give that comfort by talking to fellow nurses and other medical professionals to find out what style or even brand of shoe works for them.
