Despite of Mel Gibson's numerous achievements and his title as one of the most remarkable Hollywood actors and directors especially from the 2004 controversial film "The Passion Of Christ ", it seems producers are having second thoughts of giving Mel new projects due to the alleged violence scandal with his previous girlfriend and the mother of his child Oksana Grigorieva.
This Russian singer-songwriter and pianist had filed a restraining order against Mel Gibson due to threats and physical violence. An audio recording of Mel Gibson's conversation with Oksana is currently being investigated by officials. Sources stated the Mel admits physical violence towards ex-girlfriend and he threatened to kill Oksana for numerous times. The reason behind these controversies are not yet confirmed but during an interview with Oksana, she said that she refuse to give any details about the incident but she claims that she filed a case against Mel Gibson first even before Gibson filed an order for her not to give any information about him that could ruin his image and career.
People seem to be getting different reactions about the scandal. Some people blame Mel Gibson for being a drunk and being mentally unstable while others doubted Oksana's statements. Many believed that Oksana's love for Gibson is untrue and she is only aims for his wealth resulting to Gibson's strange behavior and intense anger. But either way, nobody knows the real story behind this scandal but it has already created a huge negative impact particularly to Gibson's Hollywood career.
A few days back, Mel Gibson was dropped by his agency when his eight minute recorded conversation with Oksana started to make a tremendous noise all over the country. Different feedbacks were heard from several co-celebrities. Currently, Mel Gibson is part of Jodie Foster's latest project and people are wondering if Gibson's rants will affect his performance as the main character of the film.
People are wondering if Gibson will ever recover from this psychological illness. Psychiatrist had stated that Mel is suffering from a mental disorder called Verbal diarrhea. Individuals who are suffering from this disorder has no control of the words that comes out of their mouth and often illogical. It is their way of expressing their emotions but in a non-healthy and non-constructive way. The people who have heard the audio recordings claims that the said actor sounded like a psychotic man, he uses nasty words and he seems to be enjoying it.
On the other hand, Oksana remained silent about the issue regarding the tape and she claims that she has nothing to do with how the audio recording leaked in public. But Gibson's side doesn't buy her statement and they believe that it was Oksana who was really responsible on how the recordings got publicized. As of the moment, there has been no declaration yet if which among them are really telling the truth. As the officials continue to investigate, Oksana stated during her interviews that the truth will soon come out.
