Choosing the perfect designer sofas specifically sofa beds are definitely not as easy as it sounds. My article will cover different designer sofa bed types and their comparisons in terms of usage, firmness and origin. I've also consulted a well-known designer to assist me step by step on my journey to make sure you get the best one you possible can.

If you have a family or friends you'll require space in your home to accommodate an extra bed when they come to visit and decide to spend the night. Most people seriously lack space in their homes to have an extra conventional bed. They are just unable to spare the huge amount of space taken up by a conventional mattress-bed, which will only be used every now and then. Sofa beds also commonly referred to as sleeper sofas or sofa sleepers are ideal replacements for mattresses-beds.

Investing in a designer sofa bed can be a super tricky and sticky job since there are such an endless selection of variants to pick and choose from on the market. Our favourite ones are:

Pullouts- Pullouts have been around for at least 5 decades. Bed set-up comprises of merely removing the sitting cushions and pulling-out the mattress from the sofas' inside. Designer pullouts are available in a variety of sizes ranging from king, queen, double and single. Smaller mattress size versions are referred to as Love seat beds or chair beds. Colour selections are endless, due to the fact that some sofa beds are manufactured locally, they come with an exquisite choice of fabric quality and colours. Some individuals do however find pullout sofa beds extremely uncomfortable. Most people prefer sinking in their sofas instead of sitting on them, which makes super softness is an absolute must.

A super soft sofa and a bed in-one, will require the mattress chase to be very flexible and mattress paper-thin. Unfortunately, most of the time they come only with a one-inch foam mattress which will only ensure terrible back pain. Another con to pullout is cushions tendency to slide out from under you very easily. Mechanical operation can also be rather difficult and will be especially challenging for the elderly and people with back problems to pull out the bed. The bigger the sofa's size, the more demanding job it will be. If you are looking for storage space, it's recommended that you steer clear from this sofa bed type.

European style sofa beds- European style sofa beds are the absolute pinnacle of sleepers. Authentic European designer sofas make excellent sleeper and its thus recommended that you steer clear from cheap imitations as far as you possible can. You can also check out Turkish versions, as they are the biggest exporters of sofa beds in the world. Great sleeping and sitting quality is a promise with this one. Some models offer both excellent sleeping and sitting comfort as well as storage allowing easy to access and magnificent spacious storage place.

Unlike pullouts, European sofa beds come with easy to use mechanisms to ensure easy function. This can be attributed to inner spring structure, although there are models with foam cushioning. Most models do however come with a durable, orthopaedic-friendly innerspring structure. Another great advantage comes in the form of built-in cushions. Unlike futons, you don't have to invest in the frame and cushions, separately. Their mattresses are built in which means no sliding out from under you.

Unfortunately, pullouts only come with non-interchangeable cushions. This will mean that when the cushion gets old, replacement will not be possible. But for most people this shouldn't be a serious headache since European designer sofa beds are built to last and even with everyday usage, they can last for decades. A firm sitting and sleeping surface may not be everybody's cup of tea, not only sofa beds but all European designed sofas may be a little over firm. It is however a rather relative concept- someone's "firm" is another one's "perfect". European designer sofas come in firm, mid-firm and soft.

Chinese Sofa-Beds- It's a fact like no other- the Chinese are excellent masters of replica. A decade ago the bedroom furniture derived from China was regarded as garbage. Today however they offer just as high quality bedroom furniture as American and Europe. In terms of sofa beds though, they still have a bit to learn. Their quality as well as durability in general is rather standard, while their prices range from expensive to wow! Average sofa bed designed and manufactured in China with inner spring and storage costs as much as European designed and manufactured ones.
