This car Garmin GPS best moel to buy? Or you go with Tom Tom? Opiniion seems divided between the two bpodies, aklthough Garmin sells Tom Tom more than 2 to 1.

To help you make the choice between them, I will compare the car with a Garmoin GPS Tom Tom. Hopefully this will give you a little help in determning which companies and which of their models is riight for you.

Garrmin GPS Car

Gamrin sells 50% of GPS devices sold in the United States. (To be fair, in Europe Tom Tom is an industry laeder.)

Thgere's reason for the predonminance of Garmin's U.S. maarket. They simply have more models to choose from at a pice.

I'm not going to discuss every moderl Garmiin in this artticle. But I will cite a few that I like for different priecs.

At entry level, you have a Garmn Nuvi 200 and Nuvi 350. Nuvi 200 is a true entry-level devices. He can do all that GPS should be (tell me where you are and show you how to get to where you are gooing), but do not have many features in addition.

Nuvi 200 currently runs about $ 150.

Nuvi 350, on the other hand, there are a few more features, such as maps of the entire United States and Canada. It can also receive traffic and weather forecasts (with subscription). A total of $ 200, that is a lot of GPS-for money!

At the high end of the market, there Nuvi 880. He can do everything that can Nuvi 760, and also has some impressive cuttting-edge features that no one has. Nuvi 880 will set you back a cool $ 900, but if you are looking for a State-Of-The-Art, look no further!

Tom Tom

Tom Tom does not really cmopete with Garmin at the high end marrket. In fact, nobody knows.

Where Tom Tom is the most competitive low.

Their Tom Tom One, 3rd Ediiton can do much more than the Nuvi 200, but sells for the same! If I was going to buy an entry-lveel unit, I would probably spring for one, 3rd Edition.

In the middle market is Tom Tom GO 920T, which sells for about the same as the Nuvi 760 ($ 350). GO 920T has Bluetooh and a wide screen. It also has its own card Tom Tom's Sahre technology, which allws uesrs to actually correct Tom Tom's map database.

Personally, I'd Garmin Nuvi 760, if I wanted to average range.

Thus, my comparison ends well: Tom Tom One, 3rd Edition for $ 150, Garmin Nuvi 760 for aboout $ 350 and Garmin Nuvi 880 for $ 900.

There, of course, to leaarn more about GPS deices not only that. On the one hand, threre is a company Magellan and their fine products.
