Some people believe that medical care Insurance is a joke. People may feel that their health bills will always be tiny or reasonable. Many might feel that their auto Cover will pay for them or that they can get treatment even if they don't posess Coverage.

Your health history is a good predictor of whether or not you might have medical care problems in the near future. When you've always been healthy, you've got a better chance of not needing medical care in the next year when compared to a person who has a history of being ill all the time.

However, a lot of people who have diabetes, high blood pressure or even heart attacks had unblemished medical care histories for decades. Then they got sick and maybe stayed ill or even died.

Your good health care history isn't a very good predictor of future injury. A perfectly healthy person can trip on a child's toy and fall down a flight of stairs or have an accident while exercising.

Can Your Auto Insurance Policy Pay Your health care expenses?

Your automobile Assurance plan offers limited Coverage for your health bills. Your car Issurance policy might pay for the medical expenses of those you might injure in a car crash. However, since you can't hold yourself legally liable for your own health care expenses, this Coverage is incomplete when it comes to your health bills. Even auto insurance policies with "no fault" Cover typically limit this Insurance to a few thousand dollars per accident.

Can Your Employer's Assurance Cover You?

when you are hurt on the job, there is a good chance that your employer's workmen's compensation or liability Insurance will pay your healthcare bills. But it is the rare disease or sicknesses that will be covered by an employer's liability policy.

Of course when your employer provides medical Insurance for you, many more situations are likely to be covered.

Will A Hospital Treat You Even if You have No Cover?

In many situations you can get treatment from a hospital whether or not you own medical care Issurance. There are big drawbacks. One is the limit on the care given and another is the potential destruction of your credit.

Most hospitals will treat uninsured patients who walk through their doors in the aftermath of heart attack. Most hospitals will treat those who are in need of immediate healthcare care in emergency situations. However, once the crisis is over, they are likely to stop care given unless you can pay for it.

If a hospital does treat you when you don't own health care Insurance the medical care isn't likely to be free. They will expect to be paidand when you can't pay the bill, the event and its cost may hang over your head like a dark cloud for years and years.

Can The Government Pay Your healthcare costs?

In some cases Social Security or Medicaid will cover your medical expenses. However few people qualify. Only particular diseases and disorders qualify for payments from Social Security. Medicaid only covers those who posess very low assets and income.

A car Issurance plan or some other liability plan or the state may cover your health costs in some situations. However, only a good health issurance policy will give your family the feeling of safety of knowing that a major sickness or auto accident won't destroy your credit.
