Here are mental chronic insomnia causes:
* Chronic stress
* Thinking you'll have sleep disorders then worrying about it
* Ingesting excessive amounts of caffeine, especially before going to sleep* Having a drink before going to bed
* Smoking cigarettes before going to sleep
* Taking naps that are too long in the afternoon or evening
* Sleep schedules which have been irregular or often disrupted (quite typical among those who work overnight shifts)
