It's entirely possible to not only improve your eyesight by regularly practicing yoga, but to actually decrease the chance of serious eye diseases such as macular degeneration. These techniques were used in Ancient Eastern cultures thousands of years ago and are as effective now as they were then.
A very important element that will help you preserve your vision is to stop straining your eyes. Reading in the dark, straining to read the computer and even trying to read a book without your glasses will deteriorate your vision. With that aside, let's continue with the yoga tips to help you improve your vision.

1. Sit as comfortably as possible on the ground. Practicing this routine is preferable when done outdoors.
2. Make sure you are relaxed. This exercise won't work unless you are fully and entirely concentrated in this task.
3. Do some stretching work. Stretching actually improves circulation and will help your eyes.
4. Without moving your head, look to your extreme left.
5. Now look to your extreme right. Repeat from left to right for a few minutes.
6. Afterwards look to your extreme up. And then down. Repeat for a few minutes.
7. Your eyes might get a little tired when you start practicing this. Keep doing it until your eyes don't get tired after 10-15 minutes of this exercise.
8. Now close your eyes. Move your eyeballs in circles First up, right, down and left slowly and for several minutes. Stop when they get tired. After a few minutes repeat.
As you do this exercise more and more, your eye muscles will strengthen and if combined with proper nutrition and drinking lots of water, you will not only improve your vision but you'll be able to read faster and use your eyes more efficiently for pretty much anything.
