IT Controls in my living and their force on firm

My living changed in Summer 2005. At that moment i decided to grow to be an IT Auditor. It seemed exceptionally strange for some of my friends, as my university studies were all regarding encoding skills. Nearly everyone of my campus folks became programmers - a few are functioning in Web encoding, a few develop unique billing systems. And i became an IT Auditor.

Thus, the word IT Controls is following myself in all places. So, lets look at what does it mean - control, and mostly - IT Controls.

Most of our today's companies are operating different computer systems for their business and calculations. These systems create diverse goods, provide diverse services, compute salaries, keep under control our interest rates, drive various} bills to us, etc. As we can see, there are lots of computer systems which control our daily activities, help us live in today's difficult world. Although who and how control all these systems? How we can be ensured, that our earnings were calculated correctly, that numerous goods were fashioned as we expected - how to keep under control that all these systems are running as we assume them to operate? This is a superior question, isn't it?

My answer to this issue is - we are. We, IT Auditors, control, or sometimes help to keep under control, all IT systems in the world. Of course, all companies and their IT staff should managetheir specific IT systems by implementing different IT Controls. That's where we come across this phrase first time. IT Controls - it is several procedures, which have to be taken by some custodian IT workers in order to controland guarantee the normal operations of IT systems. But the planet is at all times a loop, isn't it? That is why somebody should controlthese custodian IT workers to guarantee that their IT Controls are operated as anticipatedby business board. So, what we come up with at the moment. Several guys at a particular company have to develop a number of IT Controls, and some guys, IT Auditors like me, must come and test their IT Controls and prove that these controls functioneffectively. Typically how it works - the IT custodian staff is in charge to run IT Controls on day by day base, and IT Auditor comes once per yearto analyze the IT Controls and verify that all of them were operated efficiently during the last year. Such tests are repeated each year.
By executing tests of IT Controls on a usual basis, we ensure that these particular IT systems work as they must function.

There are hundreds and thousands and millions of diverse businesses globally, there are still more IT workers in every on these businesses, and there are thousands of IT Auditors in the World to analyze all the IT Controls in all systems. Certainly, not all businesses have the equivalent procedure, there are manycompanies who have not implemented any of IT Controls yet, but they will do this. Otherwise, such companies will stop their operations as for a time their IT systems will discontinue runningacceptably.

That is why i deem, that my work as IT Auditor is extremely important. As any other labor in the World. By doing our work we make our lives enhanced. My function is to test IT Controls and guarantee that IT systems work as they be supposed to function. Mankind is developing more and more complex IT systems nowadays, that is why all IT Auditors worldwide will have more and more work each year.

Lets keep under control all these systems and not let them to manage us!
