Your inventory has some slots in which items can be grouped if they are from the same type. We can give you some examples of stackable items: keys, arrows, javelins, throwing knives, exploding potions, poison potions and some others. If you are using a bow as weapon, the numbers of the arrows from your inventory will decreases until its number will become zero. The Diablo 2 designers made possible that if two or more items from the same type are using more slots from your inventory, they can be stacked together. You will need to pick an item and drop it to the other group for this but you will have to pay some extra attention because if the limit of the slot is excided, the remained items will form a new group in a new slot. Remember that only the items that have exactly the same type and form can be grouped in one slot.

Once you've putted the items together you won't be able to separate them. This is a disadvantage of Diablo 2. If you have an arrowed weapon you will be able to see how many arrows you have left in your case until you will be out of munitions. You will see a little window in your Play Area whenever you will equip your weapon.

Also, pay attention because every item will disappear from the ground after a certain amount of time, depending of its type.
