Simply put,… the “T” stands for testosterone and the Low as you can guess means that there’s an insufficient level of it and hence we get the phrase “Low-T”.

Although there are a great deal of matters and references around on the issue of male menopause or andropause as it’s clinically referred to, this condition isn’t necessarily a biological inevitability in all men just because they arrive at a certain age of say 45 to 55. Conditions that can aggravate Low-T are issues such as extended or chronic illness, head injury, surgery, bodily infections, alcohol abuse and disproportionate intake. It tends to be that when a man arrices at his middle age that circumstances prevail such as undergoing surgery and lower resistance to illness. Also, there’s more of a leaning to indulge in alcohol and pay less attention to a healthy diet and added to this there can be less natural strenuous job activity and not as much engagement in sport. A round of golf can help but not so much when that ends in an hour at the bar drinking and smoking (even being exposed to passive smoking),- that’ a assured Low-T generator!.

There are a lot of things that a man can do to put off this so-called male menopause and those things not amazingly relate to practices that are linked with general overall good health.
It’s a recognized and scientific fact that when a man indulges in an unhealthy diet, exercises very irregularly or not at all, deprives himself of sleep, smokes (even a little), and partakes in too much alcohol (even a couple of beers a day) that such habits can seriously contribute to a LowT count.

How to spot a “Low-T” condition
There are certain indicative signs that a situation of Low-T is developing, and these include:
· Feeling depressed
· Loss of motivation
· Lack of confidence
· Constant irritability
· Poor concentration
· Lack of strength
· Bodily aches and tensions
· Putting on weight
· Development of soft breast tissue

These are some of the commonest signs of a situation of Low-T and although not a full list they are distinct cautionary signs that Low-T is increasing.

The last category noted on the topic of development of soft breast tissue comes from an increase of estrogen levels which are a definite indicator that testosterone levels are on the decline and Low-T is prevalent.

There are a number of ways in which you can naturally help to combat Low-T conditions and these would include:

· Start working out (even some undemanding stretching and a daily stroll can make a vast difference
· Get more rest (take a few power naps here and there to boost your sleep and rest reservoirs)
· Enrich your diet (getting some dietary advice and boosting supplements is a great idea)
· Drink more water and less alcohol
· Stop or reduce smoking
· Laugh more,.. seriously,- it lowers stress (go watch a comedy or read something funny).
· Take some Low-T supplements (natural and pharmaceutical are available but you should take advice and study more about the kind that would best suit you personally)
