A pinata is a formation of wet glue paper that is used to wrap over the body of the pinata. It is normally made with bright colours and employed during the time of a Mexican fete, as an important symbol of the country's culture and public celebrations. It is said that pinatas originally came from China and was taken to the western hemisphere by Marco Polo. Traditionally Pinatas were made in the shape of a six-pointed star filled with fruits, confectionery, and small toys but today they are created in a variety of types, shapes and sizes, including animals, plants, and flowers. At the festivals, the pinatas are placed in the air and kids who are blindfolded, take turns to swing at the pinatas. When the pinata is hit hard enough, then it eventually breaks and discard the sweets and toys that it had inside. By reading this piece you can really understand how to create your own pinata at home.
Things you will need:
A container
2 cups of flour
1 balloon
3 cups of butter
Newspaper
Markers, crayons or paint
String
Colored crepe paper

Instructions are as follows:
1. First you need to inflate the large balloon and tie the ends with the string. The balloon will outline the cimple body of the pinata.
2. Make a paste for the papier-mache with the flour and water collectively into a container, until it forms a smooth texture. You can cook up the flour and water to get a more efficient paste.
3. Take the scissors and cut the newspaper into a portion of long 1 inch thick strips and dip into the paste mixture. Then carefully place the strips onto the balloon until it is covered, leaving a hole at the top. Now put it away and let the balloon to dry.
4. Then pick up some more newspaper dipped in the flour and water and place another layer of newspaper over the balloon and allow it to dry.
5. Then repeat this method with an extra layer, and leave a hole at the top. When the paste is dry, pop it and remove the balloon.
6. Now you can color and beautify your pinata with various ideas and colors. You can also put up colored crepe paper on each side and bottom area.
7. Bore two tiny gap into the top near the hole and take a big length of string to put inside the two holes and fill the pinata (through the hole you left at the top) with sweets, toys, or any other fun surprises. You should also fill it with lengths of newspaper so the surprises are not all in one area.
8. Once it is completed, join your pinata in the air using the string and now you can begin to beat the pinata.
