All initial job Interviews Must utilize the approach that you're there to talk about the company's growth, and your ability to help make it happen.
All company’s survival and existence has always and always will be dependent on new customers. Without a ongoing flow of new customers a company will fail to exist. Your first approach should be almost as a partnering position of combining your talents with their existing skills to accomplish the task of business development.

Imagine if you have the skills to always be able to bring in new and repeat customers with very little or no cost to a company you are employed by. This not only gives you extreme job security, but also gives one extreme power to receive desired powerful positioning within a company.

Imagine your interview being more about the potential employer’s plans for growth, ability to grow, and trying to decide if their management background has the capability of handling the level of growth and expansion you will be working to bring. As you can see, you armed with the right set of tools and skills, the interviewer essentially becomes the interviewed.

Talented entrepreneurs interview from this perspective. They target companies where they feel they can have the most effect, and essentially interview these organizations to measure the level of potential opportunity.

Let’s say you are targeting a small landscaping company to interview with. And let’s say you have no landscaping experience at all, but you do have a strong interest to get into, and learn the industry. Keep in mind that actual landscaping experience is a minimal part of the actual talents required to keep that landscaping company in business. The real talent needed to keep that landscaping company open, is the talent to obtain and retain customers. Let’s face it, landscaping is a skill, but its reallly not brain surgery.

What most entrepreneurs find is that having the knowledge to obtain new customers gives them a insane edge and ability to enter any field and or industry they wish. The main reason for this is that entrepreneurs have realized that the skills needed to successfully market and get new customers for any business is a talent that is typically the most weak skills among many small business owners.

For example, in the case of the landscaping company above, most owners of small landscaping companies are great at landscaping, and can teach you everything you could possibly ever want to know about landscaping, but they know very little about how to successfully market their skills to build a large landscaping company.

Entrepreneurs essentially obtain outstanding employment and learning positions in trade for sharing their marketing knowledge.

Simply put, you make yourself such a powerful source and key individual responsible for the growth of taht employers organization, that they are essentially forced to share in the wealth gained from the increased growth you have been a key player in developing.
Now, this ideology tends to be most effective when you're working with smaller companies. For example, say a small roofing company, or small restaurant, or small retail shop, or small service company such as lawn maintenance or landscaping.

You do not have to own a organization or part of a company to gain wealth. Many entrprenuers have obtained extreme wealth by helping the company they are currently employed by grow and expand. This is called internal entrepreneurship.

Today’s strategy for attracting a regular flow of customers is quickly changing. It used to be that handing out flyers, direct or co-op mailing, word of mouth, and phone directory advertising was enough to keep small organizations very busy if correctly applied. More and more everyday all of this is going over to the internet and this trend will continue to grow exponentially as all of the young people that have been raised online in a digital world become major consumers.

This change is creating huge opportunities for those with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to learn, and a real desire to control their destiny in the business world. No matter what position you are in in the work world, you owe it to yourself and those who depend on you to master to the best of your ability the skills of buisiness development in today’s media.

One of the quickest and easiest entry level avenues to begin with mastering the skills and talent of getting customers in todays world is through the use of mastering the world of (PPC) or Pay Per Click. There are several forms of PPC, but by far the most popular right now is Adwords by Google. You can set up a free account, and start experimenting with, learning and testing it’s effectiveness for pennies.
