How to Cleanse Your Body

Raw vegetable and fruit juices offer all the live nutrients, vitamins, and enzymes needed to eliminate waste and detox our bodies and keep them strong, healthy and able to fight off disease, illness and sickness. Our immune systems are at their greatest power and able to keep our bodies healthy when we eat and drink raw vegetable and fruit juices on a daily basis.
Fruit juices are the cleansers of the body, while vegetables juices are the builders of the body. Every cell, gland and organ will benefit from pure, natural health nutrition in the form of raw fruit and vegetable juices. How comforting is it to know that when drinking raw vegetable and fruit juices we are able to supply the body with all the proper nutrients it needs to remain young, strong and healthy.
The first step in the cleansing process is to eliminate or limit the amount of unhealthy food and drinks from our diet. This includes but is not limited to soft drinks, snacks, juices high in sugar and artificial sweeteners, high in calories and equally high in cholesterol. The reason we need to eliminate these products from our diet is because the body is damaged by eating high fat, high salt, high sugar and artificial foods. For example, when we eat foods high in sugar it causes the pancreases to become both overworked and sluggish resulting in diabetes and other diseases.
Secondly, begin by drinking pure water. The body is dependent on clean, fresh water. The minerals, bacteria and commercial additives in inorganic water cannot be used by the body. But, the vitamins in fresh raw fruit and vegetable juices are organic and will benefit and help the process of cleansing and eliminate of the body.
Finally, begin the juice cleanse with the following guidelines/suggestions:
• Eat only fruit, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and lean protein such as fish and poultry the week before starting the juice cleanse.
• Use only organic food, and no: store- bought bread, yellow cheese, processed or factory food, butter, or preservative/artificial color filled foods or products.
• Drink plenty of water, 6 - 8 glasses at least per day for about three days before starting the juice cleanse.
• Have mainly a liquid or watery diet for the first 2 days of the juice cleanse.
• Complete these guidelines for the first 10 days, then begin the cleanse as follows:
Juice cleanse with the following fruit and vegetable combinations for a minimum of three days, but no more than seven:
1. 16 ounces of the following single juices: carrot, lemon, orange or apple juice
- Or -
2. 16 ounces of the following fruit and vegetable combinations: apple mixed with carrot, beet or lemon.
