Anyone who spends hours in front of the computer at work each day has likely experienced some discomfort in their eyes, and negative results on their visual ability. I spend a good twelve hours per day at the PC nearly each day, and after one or two months of that I began to encounter a touch agonizing burning feeling in my eyes while using the computer ; my eyeballs felt dry and scratchy ; I could feel waste wiggling around in my eye socket, next to and behind my eyeballs ; and I began to see some eye floaters, which are black dots that float around in your field of vision, in addition to some gray shadows and intermittent light flashes when I moved my eyes. Needless to say I was in a little bit of a panic, since it was the 1st time I had ever had any eye troubles. In my efforts to solve this problem I discovered a couple of things PC users can do to protect their eyes and maintain their health and strength. Please understand that it's not that I am a doctor, these are simply some remedies that I researched and found that they were personally extremely useful.

The single most important factor in reducing eye strain and all its successive Problems was to start turning down my PC screen's brightness. I had always believed that the standard brightness was the best, and was the standard as it was the the safest for our eyes. How incorrect I was. The day that I first lowered my screen brightness, my eyes' burning sensation dropped by approximately ninety percent. I continue to experience it a bitat the end of my work day, but it comes much later and it is far less serious than before. The extent to which I turn down the screen brightness depends on the brightness of the room. When the room is darkly lit, I dim the screen quite a lot to match the room's level of brightness. If the room is more brightly lit then I do not reduce the screen brightness as much, but I still lower the default brightness by a few button pushes. I urge you to be proactive and start decreasing your monitor brightness before you begin having issues.

The second vital factor has been to make sure my eyes are hydrated. Your eyes can easily get dry when you are making them work hard, and this will raise your eye strain and create more pain and stress. All of those little itches and tickles you're feeling when your eyes are dry can be pretty scary, like there's something crawling around back there. But really it's because of the dryness. So I 'like to recommend you buy some eyedrops and use 2 drops to each eye each couple of hours, or at times when your eyes get dry and itchy. Fancy eyedrops are not obligatory, simply a basic vitamin eye drop will do. Some eye drops contain eucalyptus, that has a cooling effect that will provide relief when you have a sensation of burning in your eyes. Another vital part of keeping your eyes hydrated is simply drinking a sufficient amount of water and eating hydrogenated foods like fruit and vegetables. During the work day it can be simple to avoid drinking anything apart from coffee, but coffee is a diuretic that removes water from your body including your eyes. So take care you consume lots of water.

One last measure you can take to keep your eyes healthy and powerful is to eat blueberries or blueberry extract. Blueberry contains anthocyans, a sort of bioflavanoid that is absorbed quickly into the brain, and has a fast impact on your eyesight. So if you are feeling heavy eyestrainand need immediate relief, in addition to eye drops I'd suggest you consume some blueberries or blueberry extract capsules. I am taking 2 blueberry extract tablets everyday for ongoing eye health, and I take an additional dose when I feel some heavy strain. There are also antioxydants inside blueberries that help stop cancer and are really healthy in general.

The above three techniques are the things that have specifically helped me get over my eye problems. Living a healthy lifestyle in general is also critical. For instance, floaters, shadows and light flashes occur much more frequently when I haven't slept well that day. When i have gotten a good night's they are virtually gone completely. So use the above secrets and do not forget to always keep your fitness as your number one priority.
