I was watching a travel program on the Television the other night and they were visiting Hawaii. On what ought to have been a exquisite beach there was just lots and loads of trash. On this beach that faced out into the fantastic Pacific Ocean. The conditions along with the ocean had been breaking down the plastic trash to make it part of the beach. In one portion the sand wasn’t sand at all it was grains of plastic.

What a gloomy comment on mankind.

Beach bums didn’t leave this plastic litter or folk having a party, it was carried there via the action of the Pacific Ocean. All around the shoreline and on the magnificent waters of the ocean people are just throwing pieces of plastic, bottles in addition to packaging away. And therefore we are ending up living in a immense garbage tip!

Most places you go in the world you see the same thing people just chuck things away plus they don’t recycle.

If everyone took recycling earnestly, practiced it and educated his or her kids how important it was the planet would be a healthier place.

When you think of recycling you should in actuality think about the full idea of garbage and endeavor to shrink it as a result of reuse plus recycling. Think about it, if you do not need it, don't get it. If you have to get it, get something that can be used all over again and if you get something that can be recycled, deposit it in the recycle bin. These are straightforward principles and yet there are still people out there who don’t give a hoot. They chuck their garbage anywhere.

We've been careless up to this point with the way we've treated the Planet and it is actually time to change. Not just the way we do things but the way we think. We have to realise that we do not have all the room in the world for our trashed "stuff." We're getting full and we have to understand how to churn out less, use things more or find a way to reuse them again.

We have all been bombarded with advertisements plus news stories with reference to the desperate shape our world is in. The problem is that people tend to say to themselves, "I'm only one person, I can't even put a dent in what needs to be done to make things better!" It’s an easy thing to feel over-whelmed on this large problem. Yet, the reality is this; if not you, then who?

As an individual you can't manage the factories pouring toxins into waterways or stop oil leaks that endanger entire environments, although you can make an impression, none the less. How? First, by means of not adding to the difficulty and secondly, and possibly more importantly, do what you can to rescue the planet by means of doing the right things when you can.

It's a well-known fact that when we are parents we are the best role models for our children and that they will emulate what they see us do. Even if you are not a mother, you can still lead the way for other people through taking on the responsibility of being a leader plus an agent for change. What if the people you work with come to notice that as an alternative of getting your coffee each morning in a disposable beaker at the neighborhood coffee chain, you are drinking from a beaker you brought from home that you rinse out and reuse? Perhaps they would then do the same thing!

Most people do not understand the effect they have everyday on people in their lives. As an factor for change you "walk the talk" rather than just saying the words. Make each step you take counts for something. Do your part in the efforts to keep our world healthy; reduce, reuse, recycle.

Big difficulties can be tackled by a few concerned, aware people, who set an example for other people to follow and push for change to those who govern. We can all do our part and we will make a huge difference.
