In your home business, the most important thing you can possibly do is decide which company is right for you. What makes the process painful is that there are so many Multi Level Marketing Companies promoting "the perfect product" or "the perfect compensation plan" that it makes it confusing at best, and frustrating at worst to sort through the mess.

I owe much of my prosperity to the fact that I learned years ago how to sort through the garbage when taking a look at an opportunity, to see a company for what it really is. I wanted to warn you in advance on a few things that you need to look out for, as well as give you some advice on how you can spot a company that is right for you.

First, the warnings. There is an issue that becomes a problem so much from the myriad of Multi Level Marketing Companies that are out there that it is worthy of special notice and recognition

Choosing a company with an awesome product is the #1 factor in finding a company that will work long term, and here is the rule: the product HAS to compete in the marketplace effectively. The competitive factor doesn't always have to be the same, you can compete on price, value, or service for example. Regardless of what your competitive factor is, you have to be a competitive, unique product that consumers can't buy in as high of quality, or at that price from anywhere but you.

Often Multi Level Marketing Companies have arisen claiming some new hyped up compensation plan that is so good that the product just doesn't matter. Unfortunately for them, they have always been wrong. Would you buy that product at that price if you weren't selling it? This is a great question to ask about any opportunity. Unfortunately, most of the time the answer is 'no way'. If that's the case - be sure to avoid that company.

So remember to make sure the product is FABULOUS.

The second problem that I've seen in Multi Level Marketing Companies are compensation plans that reward the wrong behavior, and are based on inappropriate business actions. For example, the FTC will severely penalize a company if they are involved in any form of 'Front End Loading.'

Any compensation plan that reward anything but sales of actual products and services, whether it is to distributors or to the end consumer, should be avoided at all costs. Multi Level Marketing Companies that attempt to side step this rule may get investigated and shut down by the FTC.

Also, you're going to want to find a compensation plan that is lucrative, and will keep the money earners in your downline long term. If a compensation plan isn't balanced properly, different levels of people in the organization will have checks that will not motivate them to continue marketing the product.

Which brings me to the final, and most important thing to look for when researching Multi Level Marketing Companies - you've got to find a marketing system that will actually work and help you market the product that the company sells in a way that is fun, simple, and more importantly...

...It has to work.

You would not believe the number of people in various Multi Level Marketing Companies that are marketing products with systems that haven't worked well since 1992 and because of that their checks have been going down for more than ten years, just because they won't adapt their strategies. You see if you want an awesome level of success in your business, you need to have a strategy that will WORK FOR YOU! I hope this helped, and that you will be blessed in your business.
