It is important to make sure your existing home insurance covers the items you will be moving in case they are lost, stolen or damaged in transit. The removal company should have its own insurance for this, but with expensive or valuable items it is worth making sure they are covered. This could also be a good time to get a better deal on home insurance. Both buildings and contents insurance prices can vary depending on the type, location, and security of your new home. So remember to make sure it is covered adequately at the best possible price.

Don't forget to either cancel or update your subscriptions, such as milk and newspaper deliveries.
