Event based marketing is the one, that is, used to promote the particular event of the church rather than the church as a whole. It is different from the christian church marketing in the time period and the channels used. Events are organized by the company itself and the final goal of the event is also to promote the image of the company or the organization. That is why; the company’s reputation is constantly at the stake when the company is organizing for several events. In such circumstances they use there man power and all other resources including the contacts to make the event a success.

The church is no different in this concept. The church keeps on organizing various events with the aim of uniting the people as well as to give them the pleasant memories of the christian church and add productively in the community. Such events assist the church build an atmosphere of the trust and established a cord with the neighborhood.

The events vary from time to time, nevertheless the main constituents of the event remain same. For instance, every event is the time and date specific. There needs to be a fixed time and date of the event on which it is going to take place. Similarly, every event requires the participant from the members among the audience and at the same time they require they require a lot of efforts from the christian church authority to organize an event.

In such cases, the church has to communicate about the event and at the same time invite members to participate in the events. The type of the participation will depend on the kind of the event. For instance, if there is a debate competition or the art show, the members of the community will be required as the participants as well as the audience. Also, the selected members or generally those who have expertise in certain field are requested by the church to judge the competition.

To communicate all this information and invite the community, there are different ways which the church can use. The notices, posters, banners, postcards and advertisement in the local newspaper and on the local radio station are few of them.

The use of the medium of communication will also depend on the target audience and the scale on which the event is going to happen. For instance, if there is any state level competition that the christian church is planning to organize, the local ads on radio and newspaper won’t aid. In such cases, either the state level newspapers or the radio station are used or the all big and plain cities need to be covered through the outdoor means of the advertisement. While hiring the space for the outdoor advertisements, the church has to select the competitors from various cities and owns and villages independently by reaching to these places and taking auditions or through small level competitions. Then, once, the first lot is selected, they can be divided on the basis of the regions (north, west, east, south) and then to the semifinals and final levels. In such cases, the marketing has to be at first town or city specific and the region specific and then at the state level. As the need grow, so as the reach of the marketing.
