This also includes any customer service related to the product, so you aren't responsible for the people you sell to, the original merchant is. Because of this, it makes affiliate marketing a very attractive option for any stay-at-home mom.

The first thing you should do when starting an affiliate marketing venture is to sign up at an affiliate network. The most popular affiliate network online is currently ClickBank. Once you've created your account and signed up, you should begin browsing their pages for products you would like to promote. Keep in mind when you're considering a product, always visit the original merchant page to see what they have to offer. Many merchants provide affiliate tools which you can use to help boost sales, such as articles, keywords to target, and of course, banners which are designed to make promoting their product that much easier.

Once you have figured out which product you'd like to promote, the only thing left to do is promote it! Remember, without visitors, no one is seeing your product, and so no one will buy it. You can start by writing articles which promote your product and submitting them to article sites, or you could involve the children and create a video to promote the product, which you could place on YouTube. Just keep in mind, the more information available about your product which leads back to your site, the more sales you're likely to garner.

Of course there are scams in Internet marketing. It's okay to pay for an e-book, instructional video, or perhaps a monthly membership but be leery of any programs which require more than a few hundred dollars. If you're considering a monthly membership read the terms of service to see how you can cancel and exactly what you'll be charged for every month. Some sites almost try to hide how much you'll be paying by only divulging it in their terms of service. They often offer a free trial period and then hit up your credit card with hundreds of dollars worth of billings.

When you begin seeing sales of your first product, you can repeat the process with another product and you'll effectively be marketing two products in order to make money online. Before you know it, you could make hundreds of dollars a month, all from your simple business you started online, and all from the comfort of your own home.
