Yes Stress, ultimately a common killer of people worldwide.
Stress leads to many physiological diseases such as cancer.
Stress creates huge amounts of acidity in your body, so you don't want this little beastie flowing freely in your body as this could well lead to a gout attack.
You must help control this acidity.

Yes meditation is wonderful for stress reduction, and it can take years to master, but you can still meditate even in small amounts with a few classes in meditation. Or you can exercise by just walking at a nice pace and thinking about life and what you want to better yourself. Just taking your mind off anger producing thoughts can have a great benefit.

Foods to Eat

Olive oil
Tofu
Nuts
Avocados
These are excellent sources of unsaturated fats.

Some fatty fish, Flaxseed, nuts and seeds have rich essential fatty acids, which help with symptoms as they have anti-inflammatory properties.

Moderate amounts of protein a day (no more than 3 to 4 ounces of meat at the most.)

Replacing meat with soy is suggested, coupled with a low fat diet.

Foods high in Bromelain (pineapple enzyme) and vitamin C are beneficial, do not exceed 250mls of Vitamin C a day as 1000mls will cause the gouty deposits to break up and flow to more regions triggering another attack.

Celery and black cherries both help in reduction of uric acid levels.

Limit fats by a lean meat diet, skinless poultry. Keep away from deep fried food and desserts that are high in fat.

If you are going to eat oatmeal limit it to 2/3's of a cup raw, limit wheat bran to 1/4 cup raw daily and the same for wheat germ.

1/2 a cup or Asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, mushrooms, green peas daily.
Foods high in potassium, and flavonoids such as quercetin.

A great prevention is lots of SEX, as sexual activities reduce uric acid in fertile men. (A friendly statistic)

Lemon juice mixed with water is also helpful.

Just GO ON AND GET OUT THERE, try and walk or go to a gym,change your diet, lift some weights, get plenty of sleep and have a close look at what you put into your body. Try Ionized water to improve your health dramatically.

Go and find a Alkalized chart and select 80% out of the list for a meal and then go to the acid forming group and select 20% to add to your meal.

This should give you a nicely balanced meal plan.

Combined with exercise, stress reduction techniques and Ionized water you are well on your way to a better life ahead and most importantly less acid in your body means Less GOUT.

Remember, you can control your Gout, but you have to give your body a helping hand, by controlling your diet and having plenty of exercise to de-stress. Just a simple walk in the morning going through your day ahead and what you will do during the day will help your stress levels.
