Computers can find a relationship between data points that a human cannot. When it comes to stock trading, it's hard for a human to notice more than one pattern at once.
This much power could be dangerous if controlled by the wrong people, and any business out to make money could become suspect. Google has many manual reviewers on staff to counteract any input mistakes that may occur. Additionally, the judgment of these reviewers, as far as a site’s quality is concerned, is another sort of quality control, one that allows the process to work more efficiently.
