The Celtics played their first must-win match of the playoffs on Thursday night. Not even the most die hard Boston fan believes the Boston Celtics could manage to lose on Thursday and win the series, as they were trailing the Lakers 2-1 in the NBA Finals odds. Thanks to Derek Fisher, who basically outplayed everyone in the 4th quarter, the Lakers won an ugly match on Tuesday night. Now the Lakers will try and put a stranglehold on this series on Thursday.

Boston was a 3.5 point preference with a total of 190 at SBG Global. It looks like they earned that score because they got even in the finals on Thursday night with a win vs the Lakers.

The Boston Celtics pulled it off although it was a difficult match. The Boston Celtics rallied on the strength of its bench in the 4th quarter, led by Glenn "Big Baby" Davis, in spite of having trailed by as many as eight points and being down 62-60 after the 3rd quarter. Pau Gasol scored 21 points while teammate Kobe Bryant had 33 points, leading the Lakers. Nate Robinson's three-pointer with 3.4 seconds remaining in the period lifted the Boston Celtics to the 2nd with a 19-16 lead.

Game 5 is planned for Sunday night.

The Lakers won 91-84 on Tuesday night as Derek Fisher continually made the huge plays down the stretch. Kobe Bryant missed a ton of shots, however he led the Lakers with 29 points.It absolutely was Fisher who claimed the match for the Lakers. Kobe gets most of the accolades when the Lakers succeed although not now. It was Fisher's match as he concluded with 16 points, 11 of them coming in the 4th quarter. Kevin Garnett had 25 points to top Boston while Ray Allen, who had 32 points in Game 2 was totally closed down. He failed all 13 of his lineup goal attempts and concluded with just two points.

Boston got nothing from Ray Allen in Game 2 and they did not get a lot more from Paul Pierce. Allen concluded with just 15 points. Rajon Rondo also did not lead as he had in Game 2 as he concluded with just 11 points, eight assists and three rebounds. Before this series commenced, it was said that for the Boston Celtics to win they needed Rondo to dominate. He did that in Game 2 and the Boston Celtics won. In the other two games he did not and the Boston Celtics lost.

The Celtics are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games. The Lakers are 4-10-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings versus Boston.

Checking the total, the Under is 14-6-1 in the Lakers last 21 games as a road underdog. The Under is 5-1 in the Celtics last 6 home games. The Under is 3-1-1 in the last five games between the two teams.
