Every time we do something like walking, running, exercising, even respiration or almost everything that requires movement, takes energy from our body. Depending on what and how many we eat is stored into food energy that gives us the power to move. Food energy is expressed in Calorie/Joule, just like any other forms of energy. If we intake many Food Calories but do less activities, then energy is stored up in your body which then turns into body fats. An average of 1,200-1,500 intakes of calories is the suggested from many health organizations. If you go beyond the average then physical exercise is advisable to burn off the extra calories.

For loosing weight, an advisable diet would contain low in animal fat foods, diffident quantities of protein and high in strong carbs or about 1,200 calories.

For loosing, gaining or maintaining weight, calorie intake depends on many things including your age, gender, height, weight and exercise habits. For every pound in a body fat, there are about 3500 calories. So if you plan to lose 3 pounds, you will need to burn of 10500 calories, and so on. If you are into a healthy lifestyle or planning to lose weight, then calorie control is essential for achievement. You need only to do simple things to decrease your calorie intake and that is to reduce sugar intake such as eating less of cookies, ice cream, cakes, candy bars etc. The other you need to reduce is fat intake; lessen your eating in foods like fried foods, junk foods and fast foods. Another way to put off the extra pounds is by eating foods that burn calories. These are called the negative calorie foods, vegetables and fruits such as broccoli, green beans, asparagus, papaya, pineapple etc. these also optimize your health and fitness lifestyle and fastens your metabolism. So if you either want to lose or gain weight, just observe your food consumption and choose the right food for better living and a fit lifestyle.
