The impact of you presentation depends on the kind of projector you use. Although a projector rental service is a great way to get high-end projectors for your next big seminar, conference or product launch, you need to make sure that you choose the projector model carefully so that you get maximum impact from your visuals.

Here are a few factors you should consider to decide on the right projector for your event.

Projector Throw

The projector you rent should be able to give an accurate visual output with sufficient clarity given the size of the room. If the room is a small one, consider a short throw projector, which can have the projector and the screen in proximity. The chance of people walking into the room and blocking the visual will be reduced with such a projector.

Lumens

The brightness of your projector must suit the room and the audience size so that every one can see clear visuals with least distortion and minimal eye strain. The lumen strength denotes the brightness that you can achieve with the projector. For a small room and an audience of 25 to 50 people, a projector below 1000 lumens should suffice. For a higher number of people and larger venues, you should go for projectors with 1000-2000 lumens. If you are conducting a business seminar and your audience will comprise of hundreds of people, you'll have to go for projectors with 6000 or more lumens for best results.

Portability

If you have to travel with a projector, which you'll be using to display a pre-recorded video or graphic, your best option is a DVD projector. It can double up as a DVD player and a video projector, thus eliminating the need of carrying two equipments. Easier to carry, simpler to set up, and quick to install and uninstall, these projectors are particularly useful for sales personnel.

If your requirement is for an even more compact projector, you should consider handheld projectors. These weigh as little as 1.5 pounds, allowing you to travel light, and they can be quite effective when making a presentation to a small group.

Resolution and Compatibility

Before you sign up with a projector rental company, make sure that the model you have chosen is compatible with the computer that will be used to create the presentation. When the resolution of the projector matches that of the computer, you avoid a lot of hassle in tweaking a presentation so that it comes out the way you intended. The last thing you want is getting an unpleasant surprise at your event when the visuals, which looked great on the desktop, look distorted and incomprehensible on the screen, leaving the viewers guessing about what you are showing them.

Wireless Projectors

You can also go for wireless projector rental to get quality output with the added advantage of not having to deal with wires going in and out of the machine. They can be quickly set up and offer a lot of convenience, especially when you are not sure about the space availability and wiring at the event venue.
