Excessive sweating can be caused for any number of reasons; primarily it is inherited by someone else who suffered from the disorder. If you've been to the doctor they probably told you that you have a condition known a hyperhidrosis. You shouldn't let the term intimidate you because all it meant is that your sweat glands are overdoing their job. The problem ends up manifesting itself in the form of excessive sweating in your palms, excessive sweating at the souls of your feet which can also lead to foot order, and under your armpits.

It is quite interesting with your armpits though; when you use deodorant it is supposed to help you fight moisture and sweating, but deodorant itself is nothing more then filler material with one key ingredient, and that's aluminum zirconium. Aluminum zirconium is supposed to absorb into your skin and help prevent sweating; deodorants also contain many salts that are supposed to absorb sweat. You know that you may have a problem if these types of ingredients have no effect on you.

Excessive sweating can also be a by product of any given number of diseases, like obesity, diabetes, and certain forms of cancer. Many people have this condition and they are often too embarrassed to talk about it. It is estimated that neatly two thirds of the people who suffer from excessive sweating or the advanced form known as hyperhidrosis never go to a doctor. This doesn't make sense not to do, because you may have a more serious problem that needs immediate attention.

One way you can help to treat excessive sweating is to go to a doctor and talk to him or her about the possible removal of your sweat glands. This doesn't mean you won't sweat anymore, it means you'll sweat less in the problematic areas of your body, usually the areas that are associated with focal hyperhidrosis. Having your sweat glands removed is probably the most extreme action you can take if you want to help out your problem. Please look into this surgery first before you decide to have it done. If you find it is right for you then talk to a professional about it.

According to doctors studies more then three percent of the US population suffers from the more extreme condition of excessive sweating known as hyperhidrosis. Some people are not aware if they have this advanced condition. You should be able to tell whether or not you suffer from the condition if your body gives off perspiration more then what is needed to keep it cool. Sweating is just a way to keep your body cool, so if you find yourself sweating more then usual especially in cooler environments then this could be a sign you have hyperhidrosis.

Excessive sweating can be an embarrassing condition, especially when they are younger. You may be the victim of hereditary hyperhidrosis. It doesn't have to slow your life down, if you are serious about controlling the problem then do it and don't let the condition get you down.
