An institution which offers degrees in business administration and superintends in a university level is called a Business school. Substantially, B schools instill knowledge in the following fields: finance, information systems, organizational behavior, strategy, marketing, public relations, human resource management and quantitative methods. Business school degrees include Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and Doctoral degree.

B:- In North America, a business school usually refers to a university level graduate school that offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or an analogous degree.

C:- In North America, B school is also understood to be a type of educational institution that grants the Associate’s Degree in miscellaneous business subjects after a two-year course. These are schools that commenced as secretarial schools and later aggrandized into accounting and similar subjects. Rather than administering as institutions of higher learning, they are customarily operated as businesses.

D:- Certain universities teach only business in Europe and Asia.

Certain business schools have adopted case method and aim attention at making use of historical descriptions of business situations. Information about a firm’s products, management, sales volumes, competition, employees and financial structure is presented. Students are supposed to analyze the case study and discuss the strategies that the firm should follow for their betterment. Different methods have been adopted in business case teaching:

A:- For undergraduate students, to learn to scrutinize case studies, they are expected to answer case specific questions.

B:- The problem solving analysis is substantially used in B schools all over the world. The concept is that, with sufficient practice, students develop their ability to solve complex problems in business situations.

C:- Strategic planning approach does not involve study of several cases but the students are provided with a strategic planning model. The students learn to analyze complex problems, suggest strategies and choose the best one.

Contrary to the case method, skill-based approach has also been utilized in many B schools. This method enunciates quantitative approach like statistics, decision science, operations research and organizational behavior. Many schools still depend on lectures while other schools conduct business simulation games.
