Maybe you can teach night classes at a community college, or even offer private tutoring to the public. Then of course your lifestyle could change dramatically if you like to travel. There are many ESL students out there who travel and find careers overseas. While the money you make depends on the country you decide to work in, it's definitely a benefit for these types of people. For instance, if you're planning a trip to Europe, you'll probably have to pay your own expenses then if you went to Asia or the Middle East. The latter two areas will most likely pay more, so keep this in mind if you plan on taking this route. Why? The biggest reason is because ESL teachers are at an all time low in these areas.

One thing to look for is whether or not qualified ESL teachers get free airfare, accommodations, and living stipends. If you want this option we recommend traveling to China, South Korea, the Philippines, or Thailand.

Just make sure that you do a little research before signing the dotted line of a new contract. Find out if they are reputable places to work for, try to find other foreign teachers in the area, and whether or not you would fit in with the surroundings.
