As we all know a sack truck is the most effortless manner of transporting heavy loads over a small space. The sack truck can be moved with flexibility and stability when pushed with both handles. The loop handle is best for those who have to put their grip to a comfortable position. The loop has three additional variations-the horizontal, vertical and the double. While the horizontal loop is the most favoured, the vertical loop is perfect for the back, and finally the double loop is perfect for stair climbing. All handles come with a grip material fitted which in most cases is rubber, but can also be wood or steel.

Wheels are a vital component of the sack truck. They facilitate mobility and hence should be capable of handling their required load capacity and go through day to day stress. Common wheels include hard rubber and pneumatic because they are the most shock absorbent on the market. There are also those microcellular tires and balloon cushion tires which are also generally shock absorbent. While some hand trucks come with two big wheels installed, others have a fusion of 2 big wheels in front and 2 assisting miniature wheels at the back, still others have 3 wheels, 5 wheels and swiveling wheels for stair climbs. All these wheels can be utilized on pretty much any variety surface.

The nose plate is basically the ledge on to which the cargo is loaded. Made from either aluminum or steel, they come in whole and extruded styles. The whole style is a total steel plate minus extrusions, which acts as a safe base for the package, particularly barrel ones. The extruded style is ideal when working with wet packages because it gives water or any other liquid to drain through the extrusions. It further completely diminishes the load of the sack truck. Nose plates are also available with the added alternative of being extendable, to extend shipment space.

It is therefore clear that the sack truck is not as uncomplicated as it appears. Fusions of the above frameworks, nose plates, and wheels add to a comprehensive group of hand trucks that can be utilized viz-a-viz load capacity, operating area and man power.
