It is inaccurate to call a diet a fat burning diet. You will not burn fat by following a diet. You will only lose fat from your body through exercise. You must exercise, if you want to lose fat from your body. However, there is much for you to find out about fat burning exercise, because not all exercise burns fat.

That is correct.. When you do a fat burning exercise program, you need to eat in a certain way in order to burn fat effectively. That way is called a fat burning diet. A fat burning diet enables more rapid fat burning to occur, as a result of your exercise. Without one, fat loss may not occur at all.

Dieting Does Result In Weight Loss

It is absolutely right that you can lose weight by dieting. However too many people think that the terms fat loss and weight loss are interchangable, but they are not. If you diet and dont exercise, you will not lose fat. You can lose weight on a diet, but not fat.

It is easy to understand how you put on weight and fat. You will gain weight and fat, when you consume more calories than you expend. The extra calories are stored as fat on your body. You get fatter by 1 pound for every 3,500 calories that you eat and dont use.

It would seem then that to lose 1 pound of fat, all you should have to do is eat 3,500 calories less than you use. Unfortunately, losing fat is not that simple. You will not lose fat, if you try to do so by diet alone.

Doing that will result in weight loss. The weight that you lose will be from reduced muscle mass and reduced water in the body. You will not have lost fat.

What Happens When Diet And Dont Exercise

According to your scales, you will be doing well. You will see weight loss. But your mirror will tell you a different story. You will still see the fat on your body that prompted you to "go on a diet" in the first place. Furthermore, whatever level of muscle definition you had - will be replaced by sagging skin.

To top it off, unless you stay on that diet for the rest of your life, you will put the weight back on. When you come off the diet, your body will replenish the water that you lost when you were on the diet. Also it is bad for your health to stay long term on a diet that depletes water and muscle mass from your body.

You may say that it is unfair that the body operates in this way. But you need to know how your body operates.

How You Should Eat To Burn Fat

It is about what, when and how to eat. Much has been written about what to eat in order to burn fat. Alot of people say that the recommended diets restrict them too much. If the recommended diets are too strict for you, use your good sense when choosing your food. Nobody has to tell you that you will not lose fat if you regularly meals at fast food restaurants and drink a lot of beer.

As long as you use good judgment on your choice of foods to eat, and exercise as well, you will burn fat if you consume fewer calories than you use.

Having done that, when you eat and how you eat will play a much bigger role in helping to lose fat.
