Tying a tie is not too complicated of an event to undergo. With a little practice and repetition you can know how to tie a tie quickly. To tie a bow tie, you need to first wrap the bow tie around your collar. Then, you cross one end on top of the other. Take the end that is on top of the other end, and flip it under and upwards so it is now poking the left side of your face. Next, you take the ribbon hanging down and fold it so that it looks like a solid strand just wide enough for the next step. It should now look like a bow tie without the other band wrapping around it.

Then bring down the end that is in your face over the top of what you just brought to your neck. Fold it back up the same side and string it through the loop you made on the inside. Then like magic, you have tied your first bow tie! Tying a normal tie is a little different, and there are many ways to do it. Be it a black tie, which is the most common and used in almost every formal jacket attire, or a silk tie, which is a very formal and fancy tie that is a little bit more expensive, the tie will be folded the same.

To tie with the Windsor Knot, you need to take the big end and place it over the little end, the bringing it up under the little end and between the collar. Then fold it under start of the big end to the right. Then bring it to the left and pull it upwards again. Then simply bring it down the loop you just made and, like magic, you have a tie!

Now for those of us that are to lazy to learn how to properly tie a tie, or are to young to figure it out, they have the clip on tie. This was the mothers' easy way out to get children to wear a tie to church. It has a few more uses though, like a quick and simple way to get dressed in the morning without having to fiddle with a tie. Clip ons have always been a very quick and easy way out. Clip on bow ties also exist. But be the tie black, white, silk, or clip on, they are an asset to society. The cravat is a neckband that came before the more modern necktie and bow tie. They have been around since the 1600's when king Louis XIV sported one.

They came from the military. The soldiers would wear them tightly around their necks as an order from who ever was leading them. This is so they could march and continue to look straight forward without having the urge or even the ability to turn their neck. However, modern cravats have become a little more formal and a bit less irritating. Most early cravat styles were much shorter than the modern necktie, and almost always white in color. When England adopted the neck wear, they change the length, and color of them. They also created many different kinds of styles of tying the cravat.

Thanks to Jesse Langsdorn the modern design of cravattes are now cut into three pieces and reattached in a way that would allow it to be easier to tie. One reason cravats are so popular is because they have been said to hide the defects of a person who wears one.

Cravats come in a variety of colors, and each symbolize something. Blue shows wholeness, where as red is associated with love, rage, and power. Black is often worn at funerals, but could also be considered elegant. Yellow is associated with youth, where as brown is considered to be representative of earthliness and sexuality. Cravate Royale is a very popular designer that is known to make only the most elegant and luxurious cravats and ties.

They hand make their products to give the finest quality of products. Crevate showboats their fine fabrics from the mills in England to give you the best quality of products. They even wrap their items in an exclusive Cravate Royal gift box. Wedding cravats are commonly silk, and are said to be perfect for the wedding day. They give a very profound and elegant look to the grooms attire and will still allow you to match your soon to be wife's wedding dress. Wedding cravats can often be a tradition in many families to wear, but are also a very beautiful way to show off color.

The ability to have a beautiful colored tie on a color theme wedding makes wedding cravats very popular. Imagine a red dress and your matching red suit with a stunning red wedding cravat in a winter wedding. The look would be beautiful. Cravats have been around for centuries and will be around for years to come. Thanks to cravats we have the modern tie and bow tie people hold on to today! No matter where the future will take us, cravats will remain a very important part of history.

From military use, to being able to match your future wife during your wedding day. Make the day a great day and put on a stunning cravat before you go out to work. You will surely turn heads, and you will be the dominate figure in the crowd.
