Cameroon and Denmark met on Saturday in World cup betting with the champ keeping alive in Group E and with the loser is being eradicated.

World Cup betting odds slightly preferred Denmark in this competition that can be seen on ABC.

World Cup betting odds showed Denmark at -130 whilst Cameroon was even money with the total at 2 under. The three-way line had Denmark at +140, Cameroon at +180 and the Draw at +210. Both Cameroon and Denmark lost their opening matches so this was a crucial game for both teams. The competition was almost certainly even more crucial for Cameroon since they'd still have to play the Netherlands. Denmark has a simpler competition in their finale vs Japan.

The 2-1 final score in the competition went Denmark's way. Cameroon, who's now the first team to have been eliminated from the tournament, was overcame by Denmark. Denmark will now move on to the second round. This also made the Netherlands the first team to move on to the second round because of an earlier 1-0 victory over Japan.

Morten Olsen, Denmark's coach, wasn't impressed by his team's performance. He acknowledged that the team made plenty of errors that they could not afford to repeat in future matches if they expect to advance further in the World Cup.

Paul Le Guen, the Cameroon team's coach, stated that the team would not step down. Even though they don't have a chance at advancing out of the group, he said that the team would continue to play in their final competition vs the Netherlands for the honor of his country.

Cameroon was not anticipated to lose their opening competition vs Japan and a number of participants were not pleased about the way the team played. Indomitable Lions midfielder Enoh Eyong Takang said that the team has to get better in every way if they want to get a victory vs Denmark. He said they simply had to score on Saturday. Cameroon dominated the second half in their competition vs Japan but came away with nothing. If Cameroon was to win they need Eto'o to score, and Samuel Eto'o was a non-factor vs Japan. Head coach Paul Le Guen positioned Eto'o at the far right position and it simply didn't work. Pierre Webo is simply not great enough to get Eto'o into position to score. Eto'o said that he must be in the central position to get the most scoring possibilities. It will be intriguing to see if Le Guen recognizes his mistake and puts Eto'o in the middle on Saturday.

Denmark didn't play well in their opener either as they were routed by the Netherlands 2-0. Head coach Morten Olsen said that the team has to erase the memory of their errors and move on. Since they finish up group play with the competition vs Japan, a draw may have been fine enough for Denmark in this competition.

This competition was a pretty hard fought competitive game and it was televised on ABC on Saturday. The World Cup wagering odds certainly pointed to a tight match where a single goal may be all that is obtained.
