I’m sorry mom, for the things I put you through
I’m sorry mom, for not doing the things you wanted me to do
I’m sorry mom, for leaving you so soon
I’m sorry mom, for that call you got that afternoon
Leaving you was, the last thought on mind...........

I walked into the bedroom
(Did I want to do this?)
For one last look before the morgue
Would pick up the remain
And a quick prayer for the deceased.............

Mortal enemy you haunt me still
Burn my spirit, burn the thrill
Of life and love my entire world around me
You descended from hell
You rose from the dead to bury my soul
In the heart of the kill.............

I'll never forget the times we talked
I'll never forget the secrets.
I keep them in my heart, they're locked.
All the times we shared so happily.................

Couldn’t you just want me?
Or at least notice the way I feel.
Because right now I’m so tired of this endless hurting wheel. ...........

Young man, put it down..you're not perfect
God knows, it's certainly not worth it
When you put it all in to the scheme of life
Taking it away is the easiest way to deal with strife
It saddens me to no end..............

three years ago today...
I see you everywhere.
did you really go away?

I see you in the crowds
you're always out of reach
you disappeared in front of me..............

That little boy was always happy
Talked real loud, often yapping
His personality was brightly shining
Though on the inside he was dying.............

like soft outspoken words carefully said
like birds chasing the bread
like little stars shinning above
my angel is set free.
no longer trapped in this hell called
home............

As my teenaged fingers trace your name
In wet cement, Next to mine
On the untried, un-dried sidewalk
A message so visible and yet easy to ignore
Now we’re part of a local concrete folklore
Me, you with others too..........

Gone...but where?
I can't call you on the phone
I can't knock on your door
No matter how loud I scream you can’t respond..........

How did I get these memories?
This girl is a stranger to me
And yet I see what happened to her
I see her cry and plea

This girl was murdered by a stranger
Her aura covered with fear
She screamed until her remaining breath
And her final tear.............

I’m a cog in the machine
A machine fuelled
By indifference and greed
Going nowhere
But moving the whole
...............

Fathers day messages
