Crystal healing refers to using gemstone crystals to facilitate healing and positive changes in the mind and body of the person being healed.

The crystals are placed in specific places of the body referred to as "chakras." “Chakra” is a Hindu term meaning spiritual energy. There are seven basic energy centers in the body, each has a color associated with it. The colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, (indigo/violet) and white . The first chakra is located near the tail bone, the second called the sacral chakra is located in the pelvic region. The third chakra (associated with yellow) is located in the solar plexus. The fourth is called the “heart chakra”. The fifth is blue and is located in the throat. The six chakra is known as the “third eye point” and the final chakra, which is located slightly above the head, is called the “Crown chakra” Crystal healers typically place the same color crystal as the color of the chakra on the person to enhance the flow of energy. Crystals are said to direct the flow of energy to the person in a particular part of the body and bring balance to a person's energy.

"All you need to do is tap into the healing power of crystals and your mind will become brighter, your body will become healthier and you will create a happy and rewarding life for you and others around you"
Lynn Claridge SNHS Crystal Healing .

Crystal healing is a holistic healing method for fortifying the body and and helping with problems and patterns using varied types of natural crystals. The theory is that each gemstone carries a certain vibrational rate. By placing these stones on the body their vibrational rate changes the vibrational rate rates within the aura.. Often the effects not direct, but very strong. At other times, the effects are very direct and repeatable.

The easiest way to do crystal healing is to carry the crystals around in a pouch in a pocket or purse. While different stones are attributed to different things, it is always a good idea to select them carefully and see how they feel to you. Make sure you get a good selection of stones and "cleanse" them by placing them out in the sun or rinsing them with purified water.

Another easy technique is to wear a gemstone necklace. Always use high quality gemstones. These gemstones are undyed, not irradiated and have very few inclusions and cracks. As I said, don't take my word for how any stone works -- find out for yourself and see what works best for you.

Generally speaking, there are a number of stones associated with each chakra. Here is a partial list:

1st chakra- garnet, bloodstone, hematite
2nd chakra- carnelian
3rd chakra- pyrite, citrine
4th chakra- rose quartz, jade
5th chakra- turqouise, lapiz lazuli
6th chakra- amethyst
7th chakra- clear quartz, diamond

To determine which stone to use, check out all the stones recommended and then pick the one(s) that feel best for you.
Picking out the proper stones is only the first step. Once you have gotten to know the stones, you will be ready for the more advanced crystal healing techniques, which involve actually placing the stones over certain areas of the body. In order to be truly successful it will be necessary to learn the exact placement of the stones, as well as how many stones to use, how long to leave them in place etc. For this you will need to purchase a good book on Crystal Healing. .

I wish you the best of health and joy as you discover the exciting world of crystal healing!
