4. Read the fine print on your credit card application carefully! Even some bank executives and consumer advocates confess, that the last time they read their credit card agreements was years ago. 5. Bankruptcy and credit card debt is a nightmare for many credit card holders. There is an interesting fact, though, that bankruptcy is in many cases not a result of spending sprees. Medical problems, divorce or job loss can more often cause huge credit card debt. A person who faces any of these problems usually starts to look for alternative sources of money and misuse a credit card. Very soon he or she may end up with a huge revolving debt.
6. Many credit card users are inattentive to their credit card accounts. They make only the minimum required payment not realizing that acting like this they will never pay off their debt. The debt will increase, annual percentage rate will rise. Thus you will end up paying much more for goods and services than you expected.
All in all you should not be afraid to apply for a credit card. You only need to think rationally. If managed right a credit card can bring many benefits to its owner.
