The format for Outlook 2003 and 2007 has a larger allocation of 20 GB. But still compressing PST file is a good habit as you might get a message with attachments full of pictures requiring lots of space. What would you do in such a situation? Obviously it’s fruitful to have preventive measures before in hand.

Suppose you receive a message with 20 pictures in it, Outlook will expand your PST file by the size of the mail message that came in if there is no free space in your PST file.
