Church fundraisers have become harder and harder to have a success during these tough economic times and there is a need for some new church fundraising ideas.

Here is one that has biblical roots and may be just what is needed in the church today to increase funding for missions, youth groups, building funds and helping in the local communities among other needs.
So, can Exodus 35:22 be used today as a church fundraiser?
From the New International Version of the bible, Exodus 35:22 says, All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the LORD.

The time has come in the church that we have to do something different to revive the finances of the church in order to function as it is supposed to as a cornerstone in the community. The price of gold is at an all time high, and church members are holding gold parties in their homes to try and get some new found money for themselves.

This one day church fundraising event is similar to the in home gold parties. Church members would come to the church and drop their gold off in the morning. This is the broken and unwanted gold that is lying around the house that never sees the light of day. It is amazing how much gold people have lying around their house in drawers that never get opened.

According to established figures, the average church member brings in around $500-600 worth of gold to the events. Some bring much more, some bring less. People are generally amazed to find out how much money they can receive for their broken gold and are willing to give a portion of that new found money to the church as a donation.

In fact, when church members receive their check from the sponsoring company, they are asked to make a minimum 10% donation to the church. This averages out to $50-60 per person that participates in the event. But, the best part is the giving from people in the room gets quite out of hand and the atmosphere is electric. Some people give all the proceeds to the church. Some give 50% some give 30% and some give the minimum 10%. So, it usually averages out more like 20%.
Now, the sponsoring company also kicks in some of their profits and give back 10% of their own profits to the church. Have you ever had dealings with a church fundraising company that gave back to the church from their own profits? This really catches the attention of church staff and fundraising leaders.

So, you can see that this one day event can be quite profitable. The bigger the church, and the bigger the participation, the bigger the profits for the church. Many smaller churches combine with other churches in the community to host a gold fundraising event together. It really makes a difference to the end result when you have lots of people involved. Also, as an added incentive to spread the gold church fundraising movement, the company gives a 5% referral bonus gift to the referring church from company profits earned from the event. So, if you are involved with a smaller church and you tell 4 other churches to join the event with you, your church would accumulate an extra 20% profit from those four other churches.

It is the goal of our company to create a church fundraising revival where churches can raise the funds to do more. More people can be sent on missions to spread the word of God. More youth groups can be sent to life changing camps and retreats to get on fire for the Lord. More mouths can be fed in the community thanks to increased funds. There is power in this gold fundraiser and the opportunity to hold an event is as easy as picking up the phone and calling to check on availability. There are marketing materials to advertise the event so it will be as big a success as possible as we want to make the world of difference in church communities all across the country with many other countries to be added in the works.
