At UFC 88 Chuck Liddell was knocked out by the reigning UFC light heavy weight champion Rashad Evans. Liddell is also called as the ice man. He held the light heavy weight championship from 2005 to 2007. he was knocked out by Rampage Jackson in 2007 and is still hunting fiercely for his lost glory. It is the expectation of the fans that this time he is going to make it.

The iceman is aged 39 right now and has a huge experience of kickboxing in him. He has so far won 21 times and lost only 6 times. He is an American and a very popular kick boxer. He is widely respected for his elegant style and the capacity to stun the powerful opponents with merciless knockouts. For him the old rules of standard kickboxing do not hold good. He has his own game plan and a roadmap to victory and that is what his fans all over the world love and respect him for.

Shogun who is taking on the ice man is only twenty seven years old and at this young age he has quite a few respectable titles under his belt. He too had lost his light heavy weight championship and he is looking on the first opportunity to reclaim it. The pressure is building up on them and they both realize that. Both know that if they loose that will make a serious impact in their career. The odds are in favor of the ice man with his vast experience and it would surprise anyone if shogun emerged victorious.
