To change a child’s name it is necessary to send a consent letter from the child along with the form. In the same way, a minor cannot change his or her name without the consent of the parents. If a person has parental responsibility, then he alone can change the name of the child.

Name change deed poll is simply a formal written document with witnesses. Once a person has obtained the document, he or she can utilise it immediately and can change the records.

Thus, changing a name is an easy task and one can get it quickly without much legal process and complexities. The law will not mind the reason for change unless it has violated the restrictions.
