Do you feel like you are available for anyone and everyone on a 24/7 basis? A famous person once said that the more available you make yourself; the more available everyone will expect you to be. People will actually become agitated if you are not instantly and constantly available they need you to be. The habit of ringing someone just for a chat is becoming unheard of. You can quite often become annoyed with people who expect you to be available all the time. People can reach you on your Cell phone anywhere even including your bathroom. At Night when you want to rest, cell phones continue to ring or beep with an sms and annoy you. This is OK if it is important, no problem but if it is very menial, why you need to be bothered so late.

Today in this modern society, we live in and the proliferation of cell phones we see people talking anywhere and everywhere. If used for business, this may prove to be very effective and worthy. However, for very menial issues being bothered in your sleep and even during your bathroom time may be quite annoying if not outright disgusting. However, if you make yourself available all the time, you created your own nightmare.

Cell phone etiquette is getting to be a forgotten concept. People are always reaching for their phones when they ring no matter where they are. Movie Cinemas, On trains and Buses, At shops while being served and more. Many of the calls could go unanswered and with Caller ID activated you always know the number to return the call. I am sure by now, once or twice in a meeting you will notice that when a cell phone rings, almost everyone around will immediately look for their cell phones. You will see people talking on the phone loudly and disturbs people nearby in restaurants and even in offices.

There are certain places where cell phones should not be heard and it is just plain good manners to show a little bit of cell phone etiquitte. Turn them off or place them on silent. We have the technology designed to be able to follow etiquite so be polite and respect other people. When you are in a place of worship, it may be necessary to leave your cell phone at home or at least turn it off if you do not want to be away with it. People praying do not want to hear ringing cell phones. You do not need to show off your expensive gadget in a place of worship.

Conferences and meetings are another place where cell phones should be turned off or on silence. When people are giving a presentation they do not want to be interrupted by a cell phone and 100 people checking to see if it is theirs ringing. Disruption may cause problems especially when the meeting tackles extremely important issues. However, if you are waiting for a terribly important call, the vibrate mode of your cell phone will alert you when a call is in-coming and leave the meeting if you need to answer the call. It is always a beeter idea to inform the possible caller that you are in a meeting and that you cannot be disturbed.

When traveling and if you are on-board an aircraft, you will be required to turn off your phone. This is because electronic devices may interfere with the aircraft’s avionics. Thus, it is a requirement to turn of your phone for safety reasons. However, for extremely long flights, airline companies allow cell phone usage at a certain time, if you really need to make a phone call, use this time allotted if necessary.

Cell phone have become a necessary evil nowadays, that is why most people use them and cell phone manufacturers are continuously developing different uses and functions for this very small gadget. Cell phone companies are becoming very competitive globally and there is now somewhere around 4.6 Billion cell phone users. The new generation of cell phone allows users to surf the internet and send emails plus there are a plethora of applications available.
It is envisages that the desktop computer will become obsolete and cell phones will replace computers. This will open up a tremendous opportunity for advertisers and marketers. Cell phones are going to be used for advertising products and there is a bunble of maoney waiting to be made through the use of this medium.

As Cell phones become more widely used it will be imperitive that manners is used when using your them as you will gain the respect from others and this will improve your business reputation. A little manners goes a long way.
