Quality is important, so feel the bag. Authentic jandbags will have soft leather or suede. Fakes tend to feel kind of like plastic. Also remember that real leather is heavier, so feel the weight.

The small details make all the difference. The lining and stitching can differentiate a knockoff handbag from an authentic one. The knockoff handbags sometimes will have thread hanging or might be frayed in the corner. Authentic handbags are usually lined with fabric with the brand's logo or monogram on it.

The stitching may not have totally straight lines, or even might be a different color. Also, the color of the outside of the handbag might be a little off. Remember that designers tend to be repetitive. Every style of handbag will have an exact same pattern that is followed. Nothing varies. The patterns and logos will follow the same stitch lines. The real deals never have anything haphazard about them. The same amount of stitches are used and each stitch is the same size!

The zippers on authentic bags will glide smoothly, the hardware is weighty, everything is exact and is of the highest quality. There will not be any fly tabs to the zips.
