No squad has been more exciting to watch in the course of the World Cup 2010 probabilities online betting contest as Argentina and no squad has been as outstanding. Ironically, the Argentine squad came to the South African World Cup online sports betting contest with all sorts of question marks dangling over its head and, actually, barely even qualified for the World Cup probabilities contest in the first place.

But credit and apologies to the craziest SOB to ever coach a World Cup squad, Maradona, because his squad is playing light out right now.

After torching its Group B contest for 3 wins in 3 matches and scoring 7 goals along the way this squad is the closest thing to soccer gambling juggernaut as you'll find in the World Cup gambling action right now.

The Mexicans should be pitied.

Mexico has a quite good looking squad in its own right and versus almost any other squad on this side of the World Cup probabilities draw they would have had a healthy chance and could even make a good underdog pick. The all-around play of this squad is outstanding and it is challenging to pinpoint a single weakness. In 1 of the most difficult groups in the World Cup wagering action, Group A, this squad lost a challenging 1-0 decision to Uruguay in the final game but was otherwise outstanding.

Sadly it wasn't enough to get by this South American titan and into the World Cup gambling quarterfinals, though this squad ought to have been at its top when it took on Argentina. Mexico's top chance would have been to slow the game down, remove the passing lanes and stuff as many defenders as feasible in front of the box and prevent any balls from going through to the Argentine striking corps of Messi, Tevez, Higuain and Milito.

The final score of 3-1 was relatively dubious but essentially came down to a superior Argentine squad having their way with a struggling Mexican offense. It would have been suicide for Mexico to even try an offensive game plan since Argentina is so fast and so good in the open lineup and counter attack.

The game began with Mexico's Carlos Salcido scoring in the eighth minute. Things looked good for the Mexican squad until Tevez got his first goal and the tide of the game changed. Mexico just could not get the ball away from Argentina long enough to score from that point on.

Carlos Tevez won a goal 2 times - once on a disputed goal - and Gonzalo Higuain added another as the Albiceleste beat Mexico 3-1 on Sunday to proceed into the quarterfinals.

Obtained by Tevez by heading in a pass from Lionel Messi in the 26th minute, the 2nd goal was a problem. When Tevez butted it in, he was clearly offside. But the referee awarded the goal after consulting with his linesman while surrounded by angry Mexican and Argentine competitors.

The Albiceleste has claimed this game and is now 1 match nearer to the World Cup gambling finals. They have progressed to the quarterfinals where they will play Germany.
