Christchurch is famous for its natural beauty, strong cultural heritage and its breathtaking gardens and parks. The Botanic Gardens are open every day from 10am to 4pm.

Bounded by Worcester Boulevard, Gloucester and Montreal Streets is the Christchurch Art Gallery. It is home to a huge variety of international and national art collections, ranging from historical artefacts, to contemporary art pieces.

The largest selection and display of contemporary art in New Zealand can be found at the Centre of Contemporary Art. With five separate galleries, and more than sixty exhibitions per year, nowhere will you gain a better understanding of contemporary New Zealand art than here.
