Firstly, children do not take pleasure in learning unless they themselves feel inquisitive about something. Most educational programs are unvarying courses that are not too flexible. They have a broad-spectrum purpose and a well laid out tactic. After a number of hours at school, the children may feel bored. Further study may overwhelm him and make him feel upset. Recreational clubs give a pleasant break from the repetitiveness of learning and studies. The mental challenge and the physical exertion make the child feel a renewed zest and a pleasant sense of fulfillment. Group activity teaches him social skills, discipline and patience. It is a proven fact that kids involved in extra curricular activities get higher grades than others. On occasion closing the textbooks and playing a game may be the best way to handle your studies.

Even my 5 year old son switches on a notebook to watch a DVD or play a game. Just make sure you are always picking intelligent learning games for them and not any top 10 game they request. You'll be adding value and your child will enjoy it too.

Whatever plan you choose for your child, frequent evaluation is the key to triumph. You will have to assess the child's improvement. If progress is disappointing, shift your child out of the course. The child should also have the liberty to reject an activity if and when he feels fed up with it. Generally, programs that bring together the educational with the recreational are best suited especially for younger children. This way, kids can have fun while they learn.
