ACN is Multi Level Marketing telecom company that was founded in 1993 by four men who all had previous success with the MLM industry. Greg Provenzano, Robert Stevanovski, Mike Cupisz and Tony Cupisz are the co-founders. Using very ordinary mlm tactics, ACN has become one of the premier mlm companies in the U.S. and certainly the biggest in telecommunications at least up until now. ACN works functions using a simple system First, to become a distributor with ACN costs $499.00 US. Once you have paid this fee you are a representative but still not eligable to earn bonus commissions. In order to be eligable to earn bonus commissions you will have to get a certain number of new customers and a certain number of new representatives. As the pay plan has been changed numerous times throughout the years I will not comment on specifics as they might be incorrect. Once you have gathered the required amount of reps and customers to qualify for commissions you can begin earning an income.
What is so amazing about this compensation plan for the company is this. Industry statistics show that roughly 97% of all new distributors in any network marketing company never sign up more than 2 new distributors
into their business. ACN only pays out commissions to those distributors who have produced more than that statistic. This means that for most new reps that enroll in the company, that $499.00 goes directly to the companies bottom line. What ACN has created for themselves is absolutely amazing. Instead of hiring sales agents and phone sales agents to offer their products. They instead receive $499.00 from each new distributor. About 3% of those will actually be earning a sizeable income from the enrollment fees of their new distributors. All the rest goes directly to ACN. Wow, what a concept.
This in no way means that there is not an opportunity to generate income with ACN because actually there is. There will be those select individuals that have become very wealthy through this company.
The leadership of ACN would have you believe that each individual has the very same opportunity to generate income with their opportunity. This is simply not true. That's like saying that each individual on the planet has the same opportunity to become a surgeon, or an acrobat or a linebacker for the N.Y. Giants. It simply isn't true. When doing business with the standard mlm approach; by this I'm referring to, hotel meetings, 3-way calls etc. The people with the most success are all of a very particular character type. Very type A personalies in general. If you are not like that, then you will have a very tough time building a business.
Countless people are struggling with this system, thinking that something is wrong with them. There isn't. They are simply using a system that was designed for a certain type of personality.
There are other ways to build a mlm business that are much more duplicatable and rely much more on systems thn on specific personality traits.
