Samsung Impression is a smart selection for those in search of the latest in multimedia and messaging. The Samsung Influence for AT&T offers some of the crystal clear cell phone viewing experiences way to its 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen. If you wish to have a phone that you'll be able to strengthen apps for, this isn't it. The hardware is similar to the iPhone, however Samsung has utterly locked it down so I will't get any of my own apps or open supply ones to run. Apparently they don't need to compete.

Melvin Cordoba is improper: this telephone has inbuilt GPS and the 3.2 inch show works nice with AT&T Navigator....then again that app dims to a minimum brightness after the screen timeout expires so it's a must to stay touching the display for the map to be visible - manually environment a ten minute timeout each and every time you release the app is a pain.

Also, if you want a phone that may run 3rd celebration programs or techniques you write your self, this isn't it. Samsung has locked this telephone down so the rest you put in on it will no longer run. It's has the hardware to be a good cellphone, however Samsung won't permit that.

What I do not like:

- No contacts or calendar sync! Even my old low-tech telephone had the ability to sync my contacts to my laptop for easy modifying and backup. There is no means (that I may in finding in the package deal) to view, edit or backup your contacts on your computer from this phone. Data sync cable does not anything for this.

- Ringtones should be beneath 300kb - reasonably a bit smaller than my earlier phones (however I'm not sure if I used to be simply spoiled before.) The phone comes with this software known as PC Studio Supervisor which is supposed in an effort to compress your files for this purpose, however I've yet to get any of my song to compress to the size needed for a ring tone.

- PC Studio Supervisor - seems to work a little like Media Monkey or iTunes in that it organizes and backs up your media files. In my limited use of it, it's been irritating and reasonably redundant particularly in view that I wouldn't want to use it to control all of my media files. It isn't essentially the most intuitive application and no longer a lot direction is offered inside the program itself or throughout the digital manual online (you're given a CD which hyperlinks you to the web handbook on account that no paper manuals got here with this phone.)

- No flash at the camera. Nonetheless does pretty neatly in low light, but I used to be used to a flash on my old camera.

- No GMail reinforce - it supports Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, etc... however no GMail. The downloadable GMail mobile doesn't work perfectly with the telephone either, however it functions... sometimes.
