Are you a person looking for cheap drum sets? It is likely you are either a teenager looking to buy your first cheap drum set, an older person looking to take up the drums for fun or a parent buying your child their first cheap drum set as a present!

The Majority of cheap drum sets will come equipped with all the essentials, which are cymbals, toms, snare drum, stands etc, and it is important that you know how to set these if you are considering buying a cheap drum set. There are plenty of videos on the internet covering this, seeing as it's likely you are new to drum kits, it could be argued that the most important thing you should know is about setting up and maintaining your drum kit.

This buying guide is designed to help you find the best cheap drm sets for your price range, because we want you to be sure that you'll get a quality drum kit at superb value. There is a very large range of cheap drum sets and more expensive drum sets available today.

The cheapest drum kits will almost definitely be of very low quality, and will not last you for very long. It is likely you are looking for a drum set which is low cost, but still of reasonable quality, so it is important not to fall into the trap of being drawn to the cheapest drum sets available.

Cheap drum sets can generally be put into four categories according to their price and quality. To find a good starter cheap drum set, you will need to pay between around ?175 and ?450, anything below ?175 is likely to be not worth buying, as it will be of very low quality.

Obviously, the more expensive the drum kit, the better it will be, but bare in mind that the quality has a bigger difference in the lower end of the spectrum to that of the higher end. For example the quality from a ?200 to a ?400 drum kit will shift considerably more than that of a ?1200 to a ?1400 kit. You can pay ridiculous amounts of money on professional drum sets, but you can expect to pay between ?450 and ?1200 for the semi-professional range.

The best price range to look at if you are looking for decent quality cheap drum sets, is the ?175-?450 band as this is ideal for beginner drummers. It will provide good quality that you will play time and time again.

The ?175 kit is good for beginners who haven't used a drum set before, as drumming has been known to be a fad. The last thing you want is to pay lots of money for a drum set for it to be left gathering dust. Whereas the ?450 range would probably be aimed at more experienced drummers. Good drum shops will include drum kits in the ?175-?450 band. This is because they can be marketed as decent quality, cheap drum sets.
