A Spiritual Life Of Fun, Freedom And Miracles, Is This Possible?

If you are like most people, when you hear the words spirituality or spiritual life, you probably automatically think of the celibate priests in church pulpits or recluse yogis on mountain tops. These days most people consider the word spirit as something that should not be discussed outside in public. Most people, it appears to me, think of a spiritual life to be one that requires sacrificing everything and allows no fun, freedom or passion. This idea is the furthest from what is the truth! Ironically, as you will find out yourself one day, a true spiritual life not only offers unimaginable freedom, but also takes you to such amazing heights of ecstasy that most people never even dream of.

While many schools of thought hold many different ideas, basic spirituality can be summarized as follows:
a. The Creator of this Universe is the all pervading intelligence that pervades all reality.
b. All creation comes from this divine Source or Energy.
c. The universe is not a cosmic accident and there is a reason and purpose for its existence.
d. To keep it simple, the reason for all things is evolutionary. The universe evolves from lower states of energy and intelligence into higher and higher states of being.
e. The human race has always felt a painful disconnection from this Source energy or God. Trying to distract themselves from the pain of separation (or more appropriately unawareness), humans have struggled in many different ways. Some of these ways are food, sex, money, trying to dominate other people, control lives of others etc.
f. When people reestablish this connection with God (find their awareness), they experience a real sense of peace and absolute bliss.
g. When people experience this amazing feeling of bliss and re-connection, they are automatically driven to help others awaken and experience the same.
In essence, this is the goal of a spiritual life.
Interestingly, once you awaken, you begin to notice that there are many invisible forces that shape the way your life unfolds! These strange forces begin to make itself known more and more by making many beneficial circumstances happen. These are what people call miracles that they commonly experience on their spiritual journey. As you awaken more and more spiritually through focus, discipline and dedication, the miracles and serendipities keep happening in ever greater extents. It’s almost like God takes on an active interest in your everyday life to fulfill your desires. No wishes go unfulfilled, no prayers go unanswered. In the most perfect ways, all wishes and prayers come true. You begin to enjoy a freedom that most people will never even dream about!
When people see the yogi on the mountain what they do not see is here is someone who has given up silly little material gains and received a kingdom full of treasures. Someone who has exchanged our false sense of earthly freedom with an eternal freedom beyond time and space. Someone who has exchanged little earthly pleasures for divine bliss and ecstasy! When you look at it this way, you suddenly understand the amazing stupidity of most white collar slaves who are trading their life for a credit card and a house. This does not mean that to live a spiritual life, you have to give up all your material gains. You can be a perfect social person and be intensely devoted on your spiritual journey, yet sometimes it makes no sense to keep carrying the unnecessary social burdens along with us.
A true spiritual journey trains your heavily programmed materially bound mind to see beyond the obvious and perceive the deeper secrets of this universe. Slowly you are able to levereage on the deeper laws of reality and use them in your own journey. When you do that, as I said, life becomes miraculous. The whole universe comes together to help you move forward and realize your dreams. For now your dreams are one with the dreams of the universe. The dreams of God.
