Did you know that the original Star Trek film was thought to be a prequel to the at that time suspended television program? This fascination for a prequel to the most known space saga of all time maintained throughout the years. In 1991, for example, the 6th Star Trek flick was expected to present another set of leads who would’ve played the new accounts of the established member. In 2001, Enterprise was shown, featuring the first adventures of the USS Enterprise under the authority of Jeffrey Archer.
Only during 2009 will an actual prequel to the first series be carried out.
Simply entitled Star Trek, the new movie will move around the establishment of the strange comradeship between James Kirk and Spock, the foundations of the franchise. This instance though, they will be played by young, flourishing stars. Chris Pine will take on the role of a young James Kirk, and Zachary Quinto will take on the role of a young Spock.
To establish link with the first films, Leonard Nimoy will reprise his role as an adult Spock who will have encounter his younger self by means of time travel. It was said that Nimoy expected much from the script, and if it wasn’t to his preference, he would have demanded a change beforehand he would assent to do the filming of the film.
To declare that he was energized about the screenplay would be an understatement.
Leonard Nimoy was declared to be enthusiastic once comprehending the script. He couldn’t want anything more to create it better in his views.
This promises well for the next installment of the well beloved series, as nothing but encouraging stories and evaluations – early on – have sprung from the group and from the location. That is pleasant news surely, as Star Trek is a franchise with the most ardent followers in existence, where complaints are organized when a Vulcan is played to have longer-than-necessary ears.
Apart from Kirk and Spock, younger adaptations of program regulars like Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Montgomery “Scotty” Scott, Uhura, Pavel Chekov and Hikaru Sulu will comprise the crew of the USS Enterprise.
Star Trek will be shown on May 8, 2009 to start the year’s summer hit event.
