One of the larger of the Mediterranean islands, Cyprus offers an amazing variety of holiday opportunities. The coastline is a stunning mixture of sandy beaches, secluded and often inaccessible coves and rugged cliffs. With open plains, citrus groves and forest-clad mountains, Cyprus enjoys a year round warm climate, and is ideal for an adventure holiday at any time of the year. Cyprus holidays represent the best of everything, from superb accommodation with plenty of Cyprus villas to choose from, excellent cuisine right through to family fun and thrills.

Sailors can take to the waves around Cyprus and find plenty to enjoy.

With sea caves, stacks, surf and tiny offshore islands, Cyprus is an ideal location for canoeing or as it's more accurately named sea-kayaking. Sea kayak trips can be booked for some exciting tours around the island's coastline, while there are plenty of places to hire canoes and discover the amazing coastal scenery with family and friends. With many exciting features of the Cyprus coast accessible only by kayak, this can be a fun and enjoyable way to find out more about the island's geology and wildlife, or just messing about in the surf.

There is a real passion for the sport of climbing in Cyprus. Whether you are new to rock climbing or more experienced, there are some great climbs across a range of ability levels. What makes Cyprus so special for rock climbing are the stunning views and environments in which the climbs take place. Local guides and climbing groups organise trips to recognised climbs and help with logistics and safety.

Cycling, and in particular mountain biking, is very popular on the island. With bike rental, cycling tours and mechanical services available throughout the island, you can be sure that wherever you are, getting on two wheels is an easy and straightforward process. The coast too is popular for mountain biking. From fishing cove to rugged cliff to archaeological site, the flexibility and versatility of getting around Cyprus by bicycle can enable you to see a side of island life from a graceful and ambient perspective.

Winter breaks can also be spent on Cyprus.

This could be a surprise for some adventure sports enthusiasts, but Cyprus is an ideal location for a range of snow sports. With downhill skiing, cross country tracks and snow boarding available, Cyprus offers an alternative to the typical French or Swiss alpine break. Everything you need can be hired locally so light travellers only have to pack beach clothes. The great thing about Cyprus over the winter months is that lower down and around the coast, the climate is very mild and with warm sea temperatures year round – you are able to swap your skiing holiday for a day on the beach with just a short trip down to the coast.

There are plenty of watersports schools to help you get started, while for the more experienced there are a range of sites to test your skills in a thrilling and exciting setting of surf and wind.

Getting to your villa or hotel on Cyprus is easy, with regular flights to and from the UK.
