A Few Principles That Will Radically Change Your Game Of Golf, Part 2

Many veteran golfers say that the sport they love is more of a game for the mind. Working under this presumption, little adjustments in the manner a player approaches the sport will significantly contribute in immediately improving his performance on the course. Read on to discover more mental strategies that can dramatically elevate the way a golfer plays the sport.
Never let the golf course to own you; own the golf course! Many newbies in the sport are terrified by the sheer area of the golf course. Just imagine the close to 60 holes of of several popular golfing destinations and you'll get an idea of the said fear. Here's an essential golf tip: golf is not a one path game. Just because the golf course is as big as an island country shouldn't mean you will freeze on your toes and stop playing. There is more than one way to skin a cat, they say, and there there are many ways to help you hit the ball in the hole, regardless of how far that hole may be. Abandon the mindset of hitting the ball from one point to the next, for example, you can try to hit the said ball to your favorite spot, that place where your shots never seem to fail, where your game is always at tiptop shape. Such may not be the shortest distance to the hole, but it can be the surest. Subject your will on the field and get the most out your game.
The physical game of golf has 2 elements. Remembering that golf if actually made up of two different physical games will substantially improve the way you analyze the sport, and in effect, the the manner by which you play the game. Majority of golfers train only for a single game in the physical aspect of the sport, and their neglect of the other game is the cause of their poor performance. Golf is composed of these 2 physical games:
1. The game played between you, the tee and the green. This is the game that is perfected by all those hours spent in the driving course.
2. The putting game. This is the aspect of the sport that is employed on the putting surface with a putting iron, when the ball needs that small, final hit to lead it to the hole. This requires training different from the previous game.
Always be remind these principles and golf will become a more enjoyable - if not a simpler - game.
